I would argue that Sanders-Frison has been the most improved big men during his years at Cal over the last 15 years. Yes, even more so than the man, Boom Tho, himself. Benson came in more highly decorated and added only a move or two during his time. Amit Tamir peaked his freshman year (39 pts vs Oregon). Powe was never healthy. Devon Hardin miraculously got worse every year. Jamal Sampson, Shareef and Ryan Anderson all left too early.

If Cal were a top-25 program, we’d all be in love with this guy. Great teammate, super-coachable, and a damn-hard worker who clearly worked on his game during his time here. He’s lost 25 lbs since he arrived and been in great shape this season (~30 mins/game).

Too bad this guy didn’t join the team as a freshman. Only if… We’re going to need a guy like him in 2 years.
